I designed my concept based around the words ‘Never Mind’. I have a hearing loss myself and I understand the struggle that we face. One of the most annoying one’s I think is the phrase ‘Never Mind’. People don’t realise how isolating and upsetting it is when they do that. We’re trying really hard to listen but they couldn’t be bothered to repeat themselves because we’re ‘annoying’.
I asked a question and I use a passive-aggressive answer to get back at all the people. They may have to think about it, but that’s the fun of it. Deaf people have to think hard about what they’ve heard. The reader should experience a sense of disappointment which is what deaf people face most days in their life.
